This is the official soundtrack to the wonderful game Daimu, produced by Fiendish Fiction. I am super thankful for Terra and Johan for completing such an incredible game.

I was very happy to have received a complex set of constraints for this OST, the primary one was to draw on compositional elements from Traditional Japanese music, which is gorgeous and a a lifetime of study in and of itself. I developed a great respect for Koto, Taiko, and Shakuhachi. Writing in this style is very rigorous in ways I am not used to being challenged. Instead of dense layered harmony, or a wash of percussion, each voice must speak clearly and reflect the world/universe around it. It is an entirely different approach to music, and I have a deep and abiding respect for the real practitioners of this art.
